Can anyone help me identify the paper used by Apple for the exterior wrap on the Gold Stainless Apple Watch 4? It is not Plike but does feel like plastic. It is definitely eco-friendly, uncoated paper and it is 0.012" when mic'd. I'm thinking it's not at all beneath a company as designed focused as Apple to engineer their own eco paper, but I have a use case for this type of paper if anyone has a recommendation.

Although your description is thorough it is very difficult to identify exactly what type of paper is used from a photo on a computer screen. One possibility is that they use a soft touch box wrap that is adhered to some type of board, giving the substrate some rigidity that is needed for packaging. Another possibility is that they used a FSC or eco-friendly paper and had it coated with some type of soft touch coating.

If you are looking for a similar paper we recommend trying Mirri Paper, Plike, Curious Cosmic which is a metallic soft touch or some of the Neenah Soft Touch papers which are offered in either box wrap or text and cover.

You can also select any uncoated packaging paper like Colorplan or Sirio Ultra Black and have a commercial printer apply a soft touch coating.
