Ask an Expert - Forum > Large Format Paper for Charcoal, Colored Pencil and Ink

I am looking for a large format paper that works well with mostly charcoal, colored pencil and some light ink wash. I am currently using Strathmore 300 Series Bristol and piecing the sheets together but I would prefer one whole sheet. Do you have any papers that will work for my process?

We have two paper options that stand out for your applications. Both Lenox and Legion Drawing & Framing are excellent choices. With roll widths of 60" and 72" these papers will allow you to work on a massive piece without seams. The vellum texture of both papers allow for beautiful blending and many layers of charcoal and colored pencil. Both papers are able to take ink but Lenox will be able to handle light ink washes better due to the papers sizing characteristics.
