Hi, I haven’t seen this addressed elsewhere. I normally use blue painters tape to mask the sides of my watercolour paper but with the black it is pulling up the fibres and leaving a dull patch which is not acceptable. Any suggestions? Thx
There are a variety of archival, low-tac artist tapes that you should use that will be more gentle on the paper. The other little trick to removing any tape is to use a hair dryer on a low temp and keep the dryer about 8” away from the tape and then start removing the tape off to the side slowly.
