Ask an Expert - Forum > Thick paper for back pattern printing

Hi!

What is the best paper to letterpress a pattern on the back on the invitation as well as the front? Is Crane 220 lb too thin?

Also, what is the best paper stock that matches arturo white envelopes? I noticed the Crane lettra bright white is a slightly different color.

Thanks so much!

The Lettra 600gsm/220lb should be suitable, but that also depends on how deep the impressions are and how much ink coverage there will be. I always recommend trialing first, or getting printed samples to examine, before getting into full production.
There are heavier stocks available, such as WILD by Neenah Paper, and Colorplan White Frost 700gsm/260lb.

On the Arturo Envelopes, we offer Arturo White sheets in a 300gsm and 600gsm so that would of course be your best shade match.

Thank you
