Any tips on framing and mounting Yupo you can share?

This is a popular question and if you search this forum you'll see dozens of questions, answers and opinions.

This time, we asked our friends at Handmade Frames (http://www.handmadeframes.us/), one of the country's top framers with a client list that reads like a who's who of artists, museums and galleries. They said:

While it varies with the materials being used, of course, we prefer to hinge it with Japanese paper and heat-activated adhesive Beva 371. We've also hinges and mounted with Japanese paper and 3M double sided acrylic adhesive 415.

These solutions have the blessing of conservators we work with. Yupo also has a certain stability within itself.

I would also say that framers need to be concerned with the dimensional instability of museum board as well, when hinging and framing yupo based artworks. Yupo doesn't expand and contract as much as museum board does. Therefore, if hinging to museum board, better two-ply than four-ply, and laminated with the 415 to dibond.

All of this said, most advice is best given in the moment, with more specific information available - sometimes even the location and climate in which the artwork will be displayed is important.
