Ask an Expert - Forum > Watercolor 140 lb cold press

I have been using the back side of Lanaquarelle 140lb cold press. Recently I have been having issues with the sizing. The wash does not "float" across the surface but rather sinks in and shows alot of the paper's weave.
I have produced nearly 20,000 watercolors over my lifetime and know my surfaces.

Please reccomend a similar bright white paper that is both internally and externally sized, 100 % rag linen, and bright white that I can substitute for Lana.

Thank you

Hi Mary, we would suggest also looking at the Saunders Waterford High White CP. Here's a link to the paper:http://www.legionpaper.com/saunders-waterford

It;s also important to note that none of the cotton watercolor papers have linen content. These are all 100% cotton.
