Ask an Expert - Forum > Letterpress printing on Rising Museum/Conservation

I have a 2-sided letterpress printed invitation job coming up, needs thick and stiff 'coaster' style stock. Are Rising matboards (Museum or Conservation) equally surfaced, front and back? If not identical, are the backsides marked with any logos or printing, and if not, are the surfaces still acceptable for printing? I'm pretty confident I'd be able to print by letterpress successfully, I guess I'm curious to know if the back surface quality and appearance is fairly close to the front.

Any quick reply/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Yvon

The Rising boards should have the same surface on either side. When the plies are laminated to one another, the same side of the sheet is kept on the outside.
