i have seen some abstract art made from yupo that was full of random holes. very much like a sponge i have checked all over but can only find a gentleman who burns small holes with an incense stick.. that is a little farther than i want to go. does anybody know the process?
Although similar in concept, you may want to consider using a soldering iron to create the appearance of random holes. The temperature of a soldering iron can be adjusted giving you far more control than using a burning incense stick. Below you will find a link with finished pieces on Yupo primarily using soldering and alcohol ink. If you do not wish to use a heat application, an exacto knife/box cutter would be effective; however it would be more time consuming.
