I need to do a 48 " x 48" Colored pencil piece of art on stonehenge black paper. It would be great if I could mount it on foamboard or masonite before I start. I have considered Golden's Soft Gel Medium as an adhesive to mount it with. Does anybody have knowledge of how that might work out long term or recommend a better product that would do the job?

Hi Dan, for a long term solution you will want to use archival/non-acid products. Golden's Soft Gel Medium is a good product for this application because the viscosity is just right to get into the texture and fibers and hold it to panel without saturating it and changing the qualities of the paper. Some alternatives that you may like are either YES paste or any archival adhesive tape.
