I recently purchased your Stonehenge oil paper. I was excited to learn about how there is no prep to this surface. However, painting on it now I see that there is ghosting on the page. I'm using old Holland oil paint with a mixture of stand oil, linseed oil, and gamsol. Very little gamsol actually. Thoughts?
Stonehenge Oil is manufactured with an internal barrier that prevents ghosting and bleed through when applying oil based paints to the surface.
Solvent based thinners like gamsol and mineral spirits can interfere with the internal barrier chemistry leading to both ghosting and bleed through. We recommend using a non-solvent based thinner when painting on Stonehenge Oil.
